For us at Coop Bilanciai, heritage is a value. Just like the ambition to achieve excellent results, in every circumstance.
These principles – combined with the deep bond with our local area – have led us to create an extraordinary collaboration in support of two historic rally drivers from Modena who take to the track in a car that made history… literally!
A team, a race, and a car for champions
In addition to the numerous initiatives that we at Coop Bilanciai have been promoting for some time, this year we decided to also support the Modenese crew consisting of driver Gianluigi Falcone and co-driver Erika Balboni.
The Modena-based team competes in the Trofeo Tre Regioni, Italy’s main event dedicated to historic rally cars, with a Toyota Celica 4wd turbo 16
from the Scuderia Palladio…
… the same car with which the Spanish champion Carlos Sainz – father of current Ferrari Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz Jr. – won one of his two World Rally Championships in 1990!
Now featuring the Coop Bilanciai brand.
Coop Bilanciai and Toyota on the podium
The historic rally championship consists of a total of nine races, of which, so far, more than half have already been held.
And in which the Falcone–Balboni crew has stepped onto the overall standings podium no less than three times with:
- A second-place finish at the Rally Campagnolo in Isola Vicentina
- A second-place finish at the Rally delle Vallate Aretine
- A second-place finish at the Rally della Costa Smeralda in Porto Cervo
- A third-place finish at the Rally della Lana in Biella
In addition to these results, there was an impressive fifth-place finish achieved at the Rally della Lessinia.
The final challenges
The upcoming races of the Trofeo Tre Regioni include the Historic Regularity Sport Elba on September 22, 2022, and the Rally Revival Valpantena scheduled for November 11, 2022.
Two exciting events that are sure to bring more satisfaction!
