The practical case: in-line coil scale for Garret line
A well-known company working with hot-rolled products approached us to obtain a special weighing system for steel coils.
For their Garret line, the customer was looking for an extremely powerful system: the initial request was for a capacity of approximately 1,500 kg.
When we presented the project to the customer, the initial specification changed: they wanted to double the scale’s capacity, for a total of approximately 3,000 kg.
Our solution
Our solution features a steel coil scale capable of supporting the required capacity while also withstanding wear.
Additionally, we integrated an additional technical system into the Garret scale: protection from falling chips and other metallic materials, to ensure maximum accuracy.
We developed the entire weighing system in-house – except for details, such as the simpler beams – overseeing the entire process and ensuring maximum quality at every level.
This way, we were able to create the most suitable custom solution, capable of meeting all the customer’s needs.
