Whatever the sector, when it comes to vehicle weighing, weighbridges are the undisputed leaders.
For us at Coop Bilanciai, they represent the fruit of constant commitment, a continuous process of improvement that began decades ago and is still ongoing. Weighbridges are our flagship products.
Weighbridges: metal vs concrete
There are two types of weighbridges: metal and concrete ones.
Their function is the same.
Both are highly reliable.
Both guarantee high precision.
Is the difference between concrete and metal weighbridges therefore only aesthetic?
Concrete weighbridges: ideal for harsh environments
Our metal weighbridges are made of stainless and galvanized steel, making them resistant to external agents.
However, when the situation becomes extreme, as can happen in the chemical industry, very little guarantees better protection than concrete.
Oxidation, persistent humidity, chemical agents, and weather events. Against these factors, concrete gives the weighbridge a resistance superior even to stainless steel.
Concrete weighbridges: easier to transport
Only the structure of the weighbridge is transported; the concrete is not present and is added during the installation phase. The weighbridge is therefore lighter and easier and cheaper to transport, even over long distances.
The lower weight of the instrument also facilitates loading and unloading operations and its installation.
For those who prefer an alternative solution (up to 80 tons), we also have prefabricated concrete weighbridges available.
So which type to choose? Whichever you prefer, we produce both!
